A benefit for the fantastic St. Pete Youth Farm, sponsored by Radio St. Pete and the Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association will present the Florida Folk Show broadcasting live from Seminole Park (29th St. and 30th Ave. N.) featuring guest artists Dean Johanesen and Boxcar Hollow!! The St. Pete Youth Farm teaches youth everything they need to know to grow food for the table. This benefit comes on the heels of the University of South Florida's donation of a fullscale greenhouse to the non-profit. “We thought we were setup to just provide food but it is way more than that. We are cultivating young people and cultivating food at the same time,” said Carla Bristol, collaboration manager at the St. Pete Youth Farm. “And this greenhouse will allow us to grow year-round, grow in a pest-free environment and teach young people about the variety of ways, and technology used, to grow for greater breadth of knowledge and opportunity.” A Live audience is welcome.
